Campsite
Baliera campsite is the centre of the Isábena, Benasque, Arán and Boí valleys. The Boi valley has a large cultural prestige and together with the fantastic landscapes of the Benasque and Arán valley, as well as the charming and monumental Isábena valley, this makes Baliera campsite a privileged location for its visitors.
Baliera campsite provides a gateway to this unusual and magnificent landscape all year round. You can taste a combination of traditions and the mix of cultures, the small villages hold on to the typical essence of the Pyrenees through the charm of their inhabitants.
Camping Baliera only closes in November.
History
The campsite is located on a 50.000m2 piece of land that has always been a valuable agricultural and cattle breeding rural estate, surrounded by the Baliera river.
In the mountains, but in an accessible location and in an area of great peace, beauty, calm… the estate was converted into a campsite, thanks to the energy, enthusiasm and imagination of Don Arturo Isern. This happened in 1981, when trees were planted in spring and the barn was converted in the social centre and reception. The supermarket, sanitary blocks, swimming pools and further facilities were set up. Year after year improvements have been made, such as the gym, the football field, basketball field, activity hall, ecological water treatment plant…
